About Spelling Bee

Every question shows a picture and says the word out loud — tap 🔊 to hear it again. Spell the word by tapping the letter tiles in the right order. Rounds start with short three-letter words and move on to longer words such as BUTTERFLY and HELICOPTER, with extra letters mixed in that don't belong.

How to Play

• Tap 🔊 Hear it to listen to the word.
• Tap the letter tiles in order to fill the empty boxes.
• Made a mistake? Tap the last letter you placed to take it back.
• Spell all 6 words to finish the level — a wrong spelling costs one of your 3 hearts.

Tips

• Say the word slowly and listen for each sound before you start tapping.
• Look for common letter patterns such as -ING, -ER and double letters.
• On later levels, cross out the extra letters in your head first.
• The spoken word uses your device's built-in voice; if you hear nothing, check that sound is switched on.
