About Music Tiles

Music Tiles turns well-known tunes into a tapping game. Colourful tiles slide down three lanes, and every tile you tap plays the next note of the song — Twinkle Twinkle, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Ode to Joy, Jingle Bells, Brother John, London Bridge, Old MacDonald, Happy Birthday, Für Elise, Row Your Boat, Yankee Doodle, Minuet in G, a lullaby, When the Saints and Oh Susanna. A soft drum beat keeps time.

Each tune starts slowly and gets faster the further you get, and later levels start faster still. Long tiles stand for long notes: press and hold them until they fill up.

How to Play

• Tap the first tile (marked TAP) to start the tune.
• Tap each tile before it slides off the bottom of the screen.
• Long tiles say HOLD — keep your finger on them until they are full.
• Missing a tile, tapping an empty lane or letting go of a long tile too early costs a heart. You have three.
• On a computer you can also play with the keys A S D or ← ↓ →.

Tips

• Watch the lowest tile, not the whole screen — tap it as it reaches the white line.
• Use one finger per lane on a phone for fast parts.
• If a long tile is followed by a short one, keep holding with one finger and tap with another.
• Replay a level to learn the tune — the tiles always come in the same lanes.
