This policy explains what information EasyToolbox.io (the website and the EasyToolbox Android app) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Using Tools Without an Account
You can use every tool without creating an account. Most calculators, the Password Generator, and many text tools run entirely in your browser — the numbers and text you type are not sent to our servers.
Accounts
Creating an account is optional. If you sign up, we store your name, email address, a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text), and the tools you save as favorites, so they sync between the website and the app. You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time via our contact page.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored by our email provider (Hostinger Reach) and used only to send you EasyToolbox updates. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.
AI Tools
When you use an AI tool (such as the summarizer, translator, grammar checker or chat assistant), the text you submit is sent through our server to an AI model provider (OpenRouter) to generate the response. We do not use this text to identify you and we do not store it after the response is returned. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information to AI tools.
File & PDF Tools
Some PDF and file conversion tools process files in your browser. Others upload the file through our server to a conversion provider (iLovePDF or CloudConvert) to perform the conversion. Uploaded files are used only to produce your result and are deleted by the provider after processing, according to their retention policies.
Push Notifications (Android App)
If you allow notifications in the Android app, we store a device notification token (via Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send occasional notifications such as a "tool of the day". You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which tools are used and how the site performs, so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, device type and approximate location.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies and your browser's local storage for essential features (such as remembering dark mode, recently used tools, and keeping you signed in), for analytics, and for advertising as described below. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working.
Ad choices. On the website, ads stay off until you press Accept in the banner shown on your first visit. Reject keeps ads off. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change it any time with the "Ad choices" link in the page footer.
Advertising — Google AdSense and AdMob
EasyToolbox is free and supported by advertising. The website uses Google AdSense and the Android app uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (and, in the app, the device advertising ID) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above (Cloudflare for hosting our backend, Hostinger for website hosting and newsletter, Google for analytics, ads and notifications, OpenRouter for AI responses, iLovePDF and CloudConvert for file conversion), and only as needed to provide the service, or when required by law.
Data Retention & Security
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Connections to our site and servers are encrypted with HTTPS, and passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing, including personalized advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
