About Date & Time Calculators

Our date and time calculators help you quickly calculate ages, durations, and differences between dates - useful for planning, legal documents, project timelines and everyday questions.

Age and Date Calculations

The age calculator finds your exact age in years, months, days, hours and minutes, and shows days remaining until your next birthday. The date calculator lets you add or subtract days, weeks, months or years from any date.

Duration and Time Tools

Calculate the exact number of days between two dates - useful for tracking deadlines, anniversaries or project durations. The time calculator and hours calculator help with adding/subtracting time values and calculating work hours.

Common Uses

These tools are popular for calculating contract durations, planning events, tracking pregnancy milestones, determining loan terms, and verifying age requirements for various purposes.

Why Accurate Date Calculations Matter

Small errors in date calculations can have big consequences - missing a contract deadline, miscalculating an age requirement, or getting a project timeline wrong. Our tools account for leap years, varying month lengths and time zones to ensure accuracy.

Why date maths is easy to get wrong

Dates look simple, but calendars are irregular, and that is where mistakes creep in.

Months are not equal. They run from 28 to 31 days, so "one month after 31 January" has no obvious answer. Calculators usually move to the last day of the shorter month (28 or 29 February). If an exact day count matters, use the Days Between Dates tool, which counts actual days.

Leap years. A year is a leap year if it divides by 4, except century years, which must divide by 400. So 2024 and 2000 were leap years but 1900 was not. A leap day affects ages, anniversaries and long durations.

Inclusive or exclusive counting. From 1 March to 10 March is 9 days if you count the gap, or 10 days if you count both the first and last day. Contracts, notice periods and leave requests often specify which, so check the wording before you rely on a number.

Age. Your age in years changes on your birthday, but the exact figure in months and days depends on the month lengths between the two dates. The Age Calculator works this out and shows the days until your next birthday.

Time and hours. When adding times, remember that 60 minutes make an hour, not 100: 1 hour 45 minutes plus 1 hour 30 minutes is 3 hours 15 minutes. The Hours Calculator is useful for timesheets and shift lengths.

Time zones. A meeting at 3 pm in one city is a different clock time elsewhere, and daylight saving shifts differ by country. The UAE does not use daylight saving, which keeps its offset constant all year.

For anything legal or contractual, treat the result as a check and confirm deadlines against the official wording.
